POST DECADENT

COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
Christopher Alley - Architect
Christopher Alley is a licensed and insured architect in
Vermont, New York, California, and Colorado.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from
Washington University in St Louis, MO - 1980.
My graduate school degree is a Master's in Design from
Lindenwood University in St Charles, MO where I studied in
a one-on one internship with Chicago Bauhaus professor
Myron Kozman - 1983*.
My first three professional years were spent working as a
facilities engineer for the McDonnell Douglas Corporation in
St Louis MO.
I have years of experience in the field as a design/builder
with my own capital and projects. I am construction
experienced and familiar with the importance of budget,
changes, and efficiency.
I coined the name "Post Decadent Architecture" in a paper
published by the World Congress of Building in Rio de
Janiero, 1988. The name portends a wise use of resources
to achieve quality of life in grace and simplicity.
In my 23 years of practice, I have always preferred to
operate independently, with a team of preferred experts. I
provide architecture for commercial and residential projects,
and personally work to assure satisfaction for the most
demanding client.
My range of building runs from historic hotel development ,
restaurant, museums, multi-family condos, to custom
residences, and all of the work reflects a commitment to
excellence.

Chris Alley was fortunate to be hired as a designer/draftsman/construction
detailer at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego California for a renovation in
honor of their 100th Anniversary. I was responsible for drawings to renovate the
Cigar Shop, Hotel Spa, Prince of Wales Restaurant kitchen, and specifications
for guest suites in the new section of the hotel. It was an honor to help serve this
North American landmark, with it's tradition of elegance and perfection.
